About Pinoy Maritime
Welcome to Pinoy Maritime. A blog for seafarers that helps mariners make most out of their career. It inspires and educates readers, creating a community within its niche. My name is Chris Resco, a marine deck officer, web publisher, blogger, and photography hobbyist. I’ve been blogging for some time now and so far it’s been rewarding.
Why Pinoy Maritime?
I founded Pinoy Maritime out of a wish to teach. It’s been an outlet of my knowledge in providing credible articles that many people can read. In time, I’ve come to realize that it’s not just about teaching. This blog site inspires people from all levels, whether mariner or not. I’ve found out that my hobby to write turned into a fulfillment of a talent that never occurred to me that I have.
How it was created? It’s an idea between two individual minds, merely talking about Luneta (a place where most seafarers gather). The topic then leads to blogging. What is that stuff? Even I didn’t know about it then. Then I started reading, asking friends and relatives about it, lucky me I found my answer.
Does blogging work?
It does work! It can work in many ways. It depends on the niche you want to start with. By the way it’s not easy money. It takes much time and effort to have a successful blog. But it all starts by acting on it. This means that you need to start your own blog right away.
Experience is the best teacher. If you’ve learned it on-hand, you’ll know exactly how it works. I believe that seafarers have an interesting life. Most of the time we are misunderstood as “seaman-loloko”, but it’s the other way around. Being a seafarer takes much hard labor, studies, board exams, and several trainings to complete.
For us learning never stops. We are an industrious and workaholic people (ahem! That includes me too). Blogging can be your voice on the net, your place in the blogosphere. It can work many ways for you. If you have interesting articles, try to write here, we will feature you and your article at Pinoy maritime. You can also send it through the contact form I’ve provided.
How to keep in touch?
