Pinoy Marriage

The place was pack with usual crowd, from fishing vessel, to car ship, to container ship to tanker... This usual crowd is the people i have to deal with day and night and thus required a patient of a saint, apart from tending to their needs of telecommunications and never ending queries of where to get this? Where to get that? I need to buy this I need to buy that all the stuff that they necessary lacking a long journey I very much enjoy to be a helping hand to the boys...

Dealing with them is sometimes put me in a situation where I have sometimes walking in a fine line tread, that personal issue that this sailor is dealing with specially the faculty of marriage... I have learned not to be prejudice and judgmental to any advice I could think off for them. Any advice I gave them is like the scale that can only be measure as just passing by comment without giving any inclination to take any of my words as a final conclusion to whatever they going true but merely a guidance...

Statistically 2 out of 10 sailor I dealt with belong to the statistic of "relationship that run a ground" some can be salvage some is in the point of abandoning the whole lot together, and some only required a new dimension to recover the sloughs of what you called trials and tribulation...

Pinoy maritime Forum rules

I have been in the social business of the seafarer industry for quite sometimes, I have dealt with a lot of "man" worlds" sort of things every now and then I have associated with female seafarer as well as the homosexual. without prejudice to anyone, what I am trying to implore here is without discrimination, in fairness to anyone personality that I am discussing here its neither a contrast to or, use anyone gender as a subject I am ma rely exploring and with regards and respect to anyone feelings or individual that I have touch to this exploration of mine, and hopefully anyone can also share their experience or their points of view.

Sometimes we regards  the seafarer  as mainly a male work or career, woman is regarded in some cases as un able or deem to be unfit to carry on any physical works on board, and acceptance of gender in this industry have different   individual opinion. this is not an issue of "feminism" argument, but points is woman does have rights to be in the same position as male after all this is an equal world, We have the same ability as man thinking, theoretically, mathematically, and among other things so to speak, to put those into reality doesn't make any differences whether it is off shore or on board. some area of work on board required physical fitness,  but a modern times have produce a modern tools and equipment for those kind of work   and heavy lifting should not be included with everyday work or does it?  Remember that "no heavy lifting" and " occupational over use syndrome"  have to be look at as a new  set of rules, this is a modern world of technology were those materials  should be accessible to everyone  those materials is invented for their purpose. Woman who chose this career have gone true the same procedure as male, they have acquired the same skilled of their counterpart and they are well equipped to the knowledge and have prepared for what is involve with their choices, this is for some, a career that guarantee a personal satisfaction and freedom as well as their love for sea. Whatever reason its all come down to personal choices...
